Application Process

There is a two-step selection process: digital images of the artwork and resume of the artist are to be submitted for the preliminary application. Finalists will be asked to deliver the original artwork for selection of this year's purchase award recipients.

The juror panel will include professional staff and trustees of Meijer Gardens.  Artists may submit a maxiumum of 3 entries. Submissions will be accepted only digitally and artists should follow the online submission guidelines.  


All submissions will be accepted until 5:00pm on Friday November 11, 2022. 


Please include: 

Current resume, no more than 1 page
Artist Statement, no more than 1 page
Digital image (no smaller than 1024 x 768 at 72 dpi) on a CD
8" x 10" print of image
Completed copy of the Application Form 
Self-addressed stamped envelope for return on materials


November 11, 2022: Application Deadline
December: Finalists Notified; Delivery of original artwork scheduled
January 2023: Winner Notified
